EthoVision XT
EthoVision XT is the most widely applied video tracking software that tracks and analyzes the behavior, movement, and activity of any animal. Video tracking means detecting an animal in a video file or from a live video feed, distinguishing it from its background, and tracking its whereabouts and movements. In addition to tracking, EthoVision XT can also detect activity changes at pixel-level, ideal for studying behaviors such as freezing, and specific body postures and behaviors in rats or mice, such as rearing, sniffing or grooming. Behaviors can be scored manually or automatically. EthoVision XT Base allows for a complete test with one animal in one arena. Extended functionality is available with one or more of the eight available modules: Multiple Arenas, Social Interaction, Trial & Hardware Control, External Data, Quality assurance, and the Mouse or Rat Behavior Recognition Modules, in addition to Track3D.
